I’m Marina, the photographer behind Polka-Dots Photography. I specialise in newborn, maternity, baby and family photography from my small but cosy studio space in Wolverhampton WV4 6.

I know that for many people a professional photoshoot can feel a little intimidating — especially with a newborn baby, young children or simply if you don’t enjoy being in front of the camera. That’s why I try to keep every session relaxed, pressure-free and, honestly, with quite a lot of humour too — even the dads usually leave saying it was much easier than they expected.

Over the years I’ve trained with highly respected photographers both in the UK and internationally, and I continue investing in education to refine my work and offer my clients a high-quality experience and refined, polished images.

I love elegant styling, beautiful fabrics, carefully crafted setups and portraits that feel artistic and luxurious, while still looking natural and full of connection. But no matter how styled a session may look in the final images, I never want the experience itself to feel stiff or awkward.

Photography for me is more than just taking pictures.
